How can I keep my bag light weighted and look like there is hardly anything in it for school?

My bag is massive about the size of me when i use it for pe yet my stuff just makes my bag really heavy and hard to carry, so any tips? e.g: can wear some of my pe kit underneath because it is cold now. But I cannot wear my trainers to school, we have a very strict headteacher that would put us into issolation. Thankyou :D

I have a mckenzie bag and I can fit my planner, books, umbrella, deodorant, trainers, pe joggers, pe shirt and lots of other little things in the front small pocket. IT doesn't feel too heavy and isn't very big.

1. Do girls wear backpacks or do they have tote bags? Do they cary purses?
2. Are people more accepting or nicer in highschool then they are in middle school?
3. Do people hang out with other kids from different grades?

1) All of them. I usually carried a purse and books, but sometimes a tote bag because it would stink carrying everything haha. Depends on your schedule, the time you have to go to your locker, etc. I'm a tote bag person.

2) More accepting, but it depends on a lot of factors. The maturity level of certain clics, etc. High school is definitely more accepting, but it may take a few months or a year or so.....by end of Jr and Sr year things change and after h.s. even more so. But it is possible for your high school to be great and less conflicts than others! Just be confident and if somebody tries to make you feel inferior, don't let them.

3) Yes, constantly. But don't give into peer pressure unless you really want to do. Some make a lot of mistakes in high school because they want to be "accepted" by certain people, and end up with bad reputations...because they feel that they need to impress, but honestly it is not worth being somebody's friend if they are going to criticize you for not giving into their demands. Be the better person, it may be hard but it'll eventually all come to you and you will love your life lol. Be confident, have fun....enjoy high school. But college is so much better!

please don't get a shoulder one.
when i started highschool, so many of the girls in my grade had them, but after like a week they went to buy a backpack.
you have a lot of books, so it's gunna be too heavy on one shoulder.

just get a normal one.
maybe a jansport. like the solid red one, or whatever colour you like!
so many people at my school from gr 9-12 had them.

i'm going into grade 10 now :)

well, I'm going into my junior year of high school and most people use those expensive Dakine backpacks, it really depends on your budget Some girls just use on of those oversize shoulder bags, but for the first week when you're getting all your books I recommend using a normal back pack after that use whatever(:

I'm looking to get a carrying bag or something that will hold my nikon slr and a few lenses. I usually just put them all in my school bag, and that's not really practical or safe for the lenses and camera. Looking for something that was made to hold the SLR along with a few lenses, flash etc. Can anyone give me links of some good ones? Something that has protection in case you drop the bag. And I have a D300 so it has to be fairly roomy.

Almost every store that sells cameras sells bags, too. I got mine at Best Buy. It's a Lowepro, and holds my camera with a lens on it, and room for 4 other lenses, or the flash and 3 lenses. It was around $79, and well padded. It has a handle on the top and also a very sturdy shoulder strap.

They also had some backpack style bags, but I didn't want that type. I don't like buying those kind of things online, because I want to actually see it before I buy it.

I totally had the same worries as you when I started college but when I got to college I realized that there is NO difference between the type of backpacks used in high school and college and no one will judge you for even having the same backpack as high school. I've tried shoulder bags but walking around campus, they get very painful to hold that weight on your shoulder! So I would suggest something that distributes weight evenly across your back and shoulders. The one you like will work great!

The most important thing is to get a comfortable, strong backpack that won't hurt you and can handle your laptop and books. At my school, a LOT of kids have North Face backpacks. They're not usually very exciting looking but they're very functional. Definitely not the backpack to get on a budget, though. Personally I have a Nike backpack with a purple design that I got for under $30 on sale. Don't worry much about looking stuck in high school, just get something that is comfortable and shows your style :)

What should one buy when going school clothes shopping with a budget of 300 dollars?

Budget of $300.00 ok heres what I think

Tops: Your should buy atleast about 8 new tops but not all in the same fashion you know some button down, screen tee's and etc.

You should buy atleast two jackets just incase it gets super cold at your school like at mines, so two will work so you wont have to wear the same one over and over and it get faded.


Belts: you should buy atleast three new belts, but defiently get a black one since it goes with everything, then you get one with designs on it etc.

Bottoms: Get like a variety of bottoms and I mean like some skinny some flare and some bermudas or capris. Also skirts if you like wearing them. I think 7 or 6 new bottoms will do.


Shoes: I dont recommend buying all YOUR SHOES flats && converses. U alway need a pair of tennis shoes like Jordans, Forces, or Nike. So about 2 pair of new flats 3 pair of converse vans or whatever other kind. and one pair of tennis shoes.


Accesories: Now braceltets and all that should not be brought more then 12.00-17.00 because if it isnt real gold or silver why buy something for so much that'll fade? Book bags you should always have a book bag. Totes are good but what if you have more books to take home then bargained? yeah that wouldnt work out well so buy a book bag.

The Under-Wear: Socks is a must you dont need like 39 pair of them though so like a pack of new sock and a pack of socks with cute designs on them. you should always have atleast 5 pair of white socks. Bras&& Panties you should buy new pack of panties and like 7 pair of new bras or 5 becuase those other bras are most likely going to be less comfortable. I mean of course your still growing all over. So get sized and buy some new one's. Leggings, if you wear leggings you should always get a pair of black one just in case. Then you can get some colors your want. I recommend three pair or leggings.


Purse: About one or two new purses will be acceptable nah maybe 3 yeah three will do always get one that is just a primary color with no designs because it'll most likely be carriable with most of your outfits. The other two you can get with a design or your favorite cartoon character. =)


ALl of this shoulf it into your budget and most likely will help you save.

I just started high school too and most people just brought their bag, pencil, pen, notebook, an assignment notebook if they gave you one, your schedule, locks, and gym uniform maybe! If it's a full day a school bring your lunch to! And that bag is fine just bring all the basic stuff! Good luck!

Ok Here we go in most incidents you get an orginastion with you to make sure you follow there rules
unless otherwise but most of the time it is within argeement. So they aboard for as many years as they like.

- You pay top dollar on everything ( dependant on countries)
- You may need to pay for Visa ( countries in waiver blind do not count)
- You need to be proficent in the countries Language ( Germany-German)
- You need wealth behind you - ( yes wealth and dollars count)
- You need to pass a certain criteria ( Nzl you need to be good in English)
- Again depends on the country- ( Really it does)

There more than just picking up your bags and leaving they need to all the correct info they get.

As once your in the system you must pay in advance then you allowed in and usually you meet with aurothies with school, legit personal of authories, and person need documentation and MUST meet the all criteria in order to get in. Others wise your gone ( Nzl, Aus, Usa,Jap, and alot of others I know they do this for fact).

English cerficate or IESL needs to be 6.0 or B2 in European standards in order to study in English speaking Counrty.

I live in NE Ohio, and I need a way to make to $. Please don't say snow shoveling because I have shoveled my brains out in the past weeks, but I need to make more $ faster! (i know most of you are wondering "why does he need so much money?") Well if you must know our school is taking a trip to NYC in march and the trip costs $400. Since my old man lost his job money is hard to come by around here. So any ideas?

Well, at 13, your options are limited, but here are a few suggestions:

-Snow Shoveling (sorry, but right now it's your best bet)
-Dog walker
-Bag boy at a grocery store
-Bus boy at a restaurant- you may even get to split tips with the wait staff!
-If you have a particular skill, get a job working at a business that can use your skill. Even if the initial job doesn't use that skill.
-Similarly, if you really like doing something, get a job doing that thing or work for a company that does that thing.
-Ask your teacher for ideas- she'll crap her pants!
-Ask your parents, cousins, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles and grandparents for ideas- they'll crap their pants!
-Babysit

Since you are working towards a short-term goal, I recommend you bust your hump shoveling snow while the getting is good. And don't be afraid to ask for a fair price: 20 bucks for a driveway, 5-20 for a porch and sidewalk, depending on size. Ask other people who are shoveling driveways what they are charging and do the same. Also, if you already have customers, ask if they know anyone else who would hire you.

What is the best water gun currently on the market?

During my childhood, my father bought a super soaker 2500 for me as a gift. Time has gone by and the gun has met its end. I checked for something the same size, only to find that everything of similar size and firepower has been taken off the common market and discontinued. All water guns like that are now practically collectibles. My question is, what is the most similar water gun (size, water output, and water capacity) that hasn't been discontinued and I would be able to find at a local Wal-Mart or Target? Also, if you own the water gun you're suggesting, how satisfied at you with it?

Unfortunately, the CPS technology that made the 2500 and other Super Soakers of the past so good has been abandoned by Hasbro/Nerf/Super Soaker; in fact, all of the current Super Soakers are either piston powered (you push a pump handle forward and back, and the amount of water displaced by that motion shoots out in a short stream) or electronic (a motor squeezes a rubber tube not unlike the way your esophagus squeezes your food and drink towards your stomach, generating a stream weaker than an old man's pee).

There are no more air-pressurized Super Soakers (the breakthrough technology that defined Super Soakers--you'd pump air into the water reservoir or into a separate pressure chamber, and pulling the trigger would release that pressure and water out of the blaster), and there are no more CPS Super Soakers (where water is pumped into a rubber bladder, and pressing the trigger would release that pressure, like a balloon deflating).

The last CPS-powered soaker was the Hydro Cannon from 2011, and the last air-pressurized Super Soaker was the Point Break, a humble pistol from the same time period. The Hydro Cannon fetches prices upwards of $40 on eBay, while the Point Break can still be found as old stock in some stores or online for roughly around its original retail price of $9.

Not only has Super Soaker abandoned CPS technology, but they have the patent on it and have successfully sued to prevent other companies from using similar technology in their water toys. So any non-Super Soakers you'll find in the stores are either piston-powered, electronic, or air pressurized.

Right now the only water gun currently on store shelves that bears any resemblance to the good old Soakers of yore would be the Water Warriors Drench N Blast (available at Target), an air pressurized water blaster made by Buzz Bee, Nerf/Super Soaker's most prominent competitor (and the company that was sued by Hasbro/Nerf/Super Soaker to stop them from making CPS-like guns). It claims ranges of 40 feet (most current Super Soakers only claim 25), and holds two liters of water in its reservoir (Super Soaker offers a 3-liter backpack as part of its "clip system" line of Soakers; other than that, their largest capacity "clip" is a 1.1-liter drum). It has two nozzles--a regular stream and a thicker "heavy drench" stream. Its one big drawback seems to be that it's a reservoir-pressurized blaster (rather than having a separate pressure tank), which means that with its roomy reservoir one has to pump a lot of times (100 pumps, albeit short, easy pumps) to give the blaster the pressure it needs to reach its full capabilities.

Aside from the Drench N Blast, the Water Warriors Python 2, also air pressurized, appears to be decent, a slightly more compact blaster for those who might not want to haul a fully filled 9-pound Drench N Blast.

That's not to say that the current Super Soakers are slouches when it comes to water fights--they may have short streams because they're piston powered, but the force at which they shoot out can be decently hard, depending on how hard one pulls on the pump. Their lower water output and clip-based system means that not only do they last longer in battle before running out of water, but refilling is also just a matter of yanking out the old clip and putting in a new clip that was filled earlier. So even if you're armed with a vintage CPS 2500, if you're facing down a handful of kids with modern Super Soakers, you'll still get drenched, especially once you're out of water (which will happen once you fire off half a dozen shots from that 2500). The new Super Soakers are less impressive when it comes to pressure, stream size and shot length, but they still get the job done. My personal favorite among the current line is the Arctic Shock, which, even without putting ice cubes in its tank, is a blaster that's well-balanced in its capabilities.

In short:
- Water Warriors Drench N Blast ($20 at Target) - most like the old Soakers, but requires a ridiculous amount of pumping
- Water Warriors Python 2 ($15 at Target) - a more compact, less powerful version
- Super Soaker Arctic Shock ($20 at Target--actually, currently on sale for $16) - a piston powered Soaker but with good stock capacity and a good balance of shooting characteristics--though it doesn't hold a candle to the Super Soakers we remember.

And of course, if you're willing to spend a little more, you can always pick up an old Soaker on eBay. A CPS 1000 or 1200 can probably be had for about $40-$50; if you want to relive your childhood with a CPS 2500 again, it might set you back $90-$150; and if you want the biggest baddest Super Soaker ever (the CPS 2000 Mark 1), you'll have to pony up $600. But it's the price you pay to scare the neighborhood and show the kids what a "real" Super Soaker can do. ;)

What school supplies/things would you get for your kids even if their school provides all supplies?

The elementary schools here have started having parents pay a supply fee where the school'll provide all of the supplies rather than have parents buying them themselves (schools say they get a discounted rate for buying in bulk, everything's the same bla bla).

What supplies would you get for your kids anyway, just as part of that "you are special, school is special, and these things are unique to you to make the whole thing more enjoyable" idea?

Things in addition to the list would be weather appropriate outerwear. If it rains a lot you may want to invest in a good pair of rain boots and a waterproof coat. If it rains in the winter make sure the winter jacket is waterproof as well as the winter boots. It doesn't hurt to have an extra pair of mittens in the backpack in the winter if it gets cold where you live. Labels are good to have, but not necessarily a must. I order the label stickers with my child's name. Every time I go out in the playground someone has left behind a backpack, hoodie, hat or a pair of mitts. It's also good to have the indoor/outdoor shoes labelled. They are usually stored in cubbies with other children's clothing. It's easy for things to get mixed up. You would be amazed at how many kids come to school with identical items.

For me, my first boyfriend and me met when we were very young.

- The first time we met was actually in preschool :)
It was the first day of school and we were coloring. After coloring the teacher announced it was time for lunch and that everyone needed to get their lunches from the backpacks. I went to get my lunch, but my mom forgot to put a lunch in my backpack for me, and i started to become nervous because all the other kids had their lunches. All the other kids started to leave the classroom to go to the cafeteria. But one boy stayed behind and he asked me " What are you looking for"
I told him the whole story of me having no lunch ( to make the story short)
And he said that he had a lot of food in his lunch, so we could share.
So we shared food and that same day we became best friends.
We became best friends for 13 years till the beginning of high school when he asked me to be his girlfriend and of course i said "yes"
We been together as a couple for little more than a year.
But i dont have a fairytale ending...
My first love/boyfriend and also first best friend passed away in november 2007 :( in a car accident collision because of a drunk driver.

Ermm in my high school.. most girls have handbags (including me).. But average size hand bags.. so i can fit everything in.. Mostly the guys have backpacks and some girls who are tom-boys. :]

Hope you have a *safe place to put your bag* if you must bring it to school with you. A lot of these bags are too large to put into a typical locker.

Here are a few ideas:
name tag to identify your bag as to who owns it,
over-grips,
extra racket(s),
towel(s),
extra shirt,
extra shorts/skirt,
extra socks,
foot powder,
sweater,
warmup pants & jacket,
string straightener,
elastic bands to give your arm(s) a workout,
hat or visor for sunny days
sun block lotion [summer],
water jug with ice in it [summer]
pens/pencils and a little black book for remembering other players' weaknesses and strengths,
plastic bag[s] to put clothing that's soaked with sweat or water,
athletic tape, band-aids, triple antibiotic ointment, etc
granola bars, fruit, or other types of "quick-energy" food. I saw [at a tennis shop] this little yellow, plastic, banana-shaped box used for carrying a banana inside of it. That was interesting :-)

You can learn by observing what your teammates carry. I would say, don't feel that you *have* to buy a name brand tennis bag when *large* duffle bags are available that do not say Wilson, HEAD, Prince, Babolat, Dunlop, etc on it. Might be a good idea to get a bag that doesn't look like any other teammate's bag, so you can pick it out easily.

Whatever you get, you may be stuck with for quite a while, so choose wisely. A lot of stores sell duffle bags, not just sporting goods stores. Shop around :-)

If my backpack smells of weed but no possession and the drug dog catches me, will i get in trouble?

I don't smoke it (meaning I'd pass drug tests) but I've carried some in my bag for a friend and it reeks of marijuana. Without finding any drugs in your possession you cannot be legally prosecuted or punished by the law.

Understand that by carrying and transferring between people you have crossed the line between a wrist slap for use and the draconian possession for transportation and sale. Lots of "nice" kids in custody for the latter.
And never think you will not be threatened with real jail and particularly if they want you to reveal names of your contacts. And do not be surprised when a "friend" gives-up your name to avoid penal charges as their "drug supplier"

You are playing a dangerous game with no benefits to you. Get rid of your "bag" and GROW UP. Too many truly innocent people in jail for your type of stupid behavior.

Should you be labeled a drug user by your school, it may likely go on your school record. Further, schools do not bother with little things like evidence, presumption of innocence or right to a fair trial. They act "in loco parentis" meaning in place of your parents while you are in their custody and control. This empowers them to be irrational, unfair and without any control over their behaviors and conduct with respect to any suspicions about your possible drug use.

Use school for getting an education. You have a lifetime ahead of you for being stupid. Illegal drugs have never helped anyone (except people with glacoma or requiring relief from cancer treatment). They have no place on campus.

A nonprofit organization is a LEGAL entity and ONLY adults can file the legal documents and conduct the legal affairs.
You must be at least 18 to do this.
No, your mother can not do it for you.

A nonprofit organization is a corporation, just like Sears, or General Motors, or McDonald's.
You must file Articles of Incorporation papers in your home state the same way.
That costs about $500.

You also have to search the business listings of every state where you want to do business to make sure that no one else is using the name that you choose.

I can relate. [Somewhat.] Because in our school, St. Paul, just a year ago [2007], we had a 1st grader that was kidnapped, and raped. Her body's disposal wasn't pleasant; her limbs have been cut off and were stuffed inside her stroller bag.

[This was in the news in Philippines. I'm serious when I say she's a 1st grader. The school was SPCP; If you know that.]

I know this isn't 'suicide', but it still has the concept of what would happen if a student was killed somewhere other than inside the school. I'll tell you what our school did -- the Principals raised the security levels by threefold, and the school became more private than it ever was. No one can come in or out without a verification from the student being fetched, or without any form of identification. No ID, no entry.

I guess it was weird... a 1st grader, and her nanny was an accomplice. Her dad was the one that instructed, I heard. She was headed to a a Math-enhancement program when things, well, you know.

I just read a second hand copy of "Killing Mr. Griffin" by Lois Duncan, and now I am hooked to her mystery novels. I would appreciate it if someone can tell me where in the Philippines I can buy books written by this famous "I Know What You Did Last Summer Author." I've checked with National Bookstore, Powerbooks, and Fully Booked. They haven't got it!

I liked this book a lot. I thought it was suspenseful and funny. I LOVED the chapters that revolved around the kidnapping. The image of masked figures stuffing a bag over an ugly teacher's head and the body's arms moving just made me laugh. If you ever had a teacher you really hated, you might understand. I loved the things that Mark said when he, Betsy, David, and Jeff were in the mountains like "Nobody wanted to miss watching you die", and "You'd better believe it, because it's true." (in response to a question). I was just laughing at the whole idea. I also liked that area. Lois Duncan described it really well, and she created a mood whenever they went there. When Mr. Griffin died, though, it gets riveting. Everything from then on was extremely suspenseful as the kids slowly get caught. It was suspenseful when they were parking Mr. Griffin's car at the airport, when they were seen by police officers and other people when they didn't want to be, and Dave had problems making up stories to tell his grandmother.... Well, this is a great book. You sort of have to be in high school and have the right attitude to like this book. I wonder if Lois Duncan ever had a teacher she hated......

but sorry, I do not know you could get it in the philippines. probably the only recommendation to buy from amazon

So it's winter break and Cammie is spending it with Bex and her parents in London. Mr. Solomon also shows up. Everyone says Mr. Solomon is a rogue agent. Sublevel 2 is shut off and nobody can access it because Mr. Solomon turned on explosives to protect Cammie's dad's journal.

Mr. Solomon joined the Circle of Cavan when he was 16! Cammie finds out that the journal is in Sublevel 2 by Zach. The girls get the journal while almost dying in the process. Inside, Cammie's dad talks about the Circle. And they want to stop them. Joe is the good guy all along even though he is labeled a double agent.

They decide to go to Blackthorne to get Joe's journal which has everything about the Circle from when they first recruited him. Zach and Cammie kiss :] Then we find out that Blackthorne Institute for Boys is not a spy school. It's a school for killers. Assassins. Cammie asks, "What could you have possibly done that is so terrible?" Cammie says, "Really. You can tell me." Zach responds, "No. I really can't." dun dun dun

So they get the journal! Easy, right? Wrong! The Circle is back! And the woman from the roof is there and there's a big shocker. THE WOMAN IS ZACH'S MOM. (p.s. when Cammie first meets Zach, she asks him what his parents are. She asks, "CIA?" He responds, "Used to be." Meaning that they're not dead, but evil!) Oh and his mom USED TO BE A GALLAGHER GIRL!

Something sad happens. Zach gives her the journal and he shoots a bag of explosives. Cammie believes Zach and Joe are dead. Zach's mother is alive and Cammie is facing his mother. While she's looking at his mom, she thinks, "Her eyes, though. She had the same dark eyes are her son. As she looked at me, I couldn't shake the feeling that I'd never see his again." *tear* His mother says they don't want to kill her. She just want to ask her questions to "remember some things." Cammie really wants to kill Zach's mom and she can. But then his mom says "If you kill me, then who will take you to your father?" Cammie jumps off the cliff into the waterfall. She dislocates her shoulder in the process (ouch!).

Joe and Zach are ALIVE! However, Joe is sleeping (coma?)!! Zach escapes with a few cuts and bruises. Cammie asks her mother if there's any chance of her dad being alive. And she says no. She gives Joe's journal to Zach because Joe wanted Zach to have it. She asks him about her father. He says his mother lies.

No one knows why the Circle wants Cammie. She doesn't want to risk anyone's safety. She knows the Circle is after *her*. Zach is there too. Cammie's mom let him go to school there because there isn't any place that is safe for him. Cammie asks why he didn't tell her about his mom. He says, "I couldn't. I couldn't lose the one person who didn't see *her* when they looked at me. I couldn't lose that." (this explains at the end of the third book when the guy with the gun says "You?" He probably looks *a lot* like his mom). He tells Cammie they should run away together.They are the only two people the Circle would think twice about killing. They kiss, but Cammie says she can't leave with him. And he replies, "I know." After she hands in her last report, she runs alone. She promises to be back. And when she is, she will have answers.

I hope hope hope you get this book because it's definitely worth reading! It's amazing!

What is a good mothers day song for children to dance to?

I am doing a dance club at an elementary school with 2nd graders. There will be a mothers day recital, and the last dance will be a dedication to the mothers. I want a beautiful song, that the children can do Lyrical dance to. I want it to be so pretty and heart warming. One of those tear jerkers if you know what I mean. Please help! I want something original. Here are some examples.
